CaseWire provides you with a clear tree structure to organize large volumes of media, so you can replicate the structures you're already used to in your organization.

Everything is organized around a simple, predictable structure:

Organization → Space → Project → Folder → File

• Spaces group related work (a client, a case, or a team).
• Projects live inside a Space and are where the real work happens: files, folders, mindmaps, and paths all belong to a Project.
• Folders nest freely within a Project, letting you mirror your own filing conventions for images, video, and 3D captures.
• Files carry full version history, with each version made up of named slots (originals, processed outputs, thumbnails, and more) plus any annotations attached to them.

Define custom roles with fine-grained permissions, and assign them to users at specific levels, so every user can only perform the actions they're allowed to.

Access control in Casewire is built for teams handling sensitive material, where who can see or change what needs to be precise.

• Custom roles: instead of a fixed list of roles, you define your own (e.g. "Project Manager", "External Reviewer") from a granular set of permissions covering every action a user can perform.
• Scoped assignments: a role can be granted at the organization, space, or project level. The scopes follow the hierarchy: assign a role at the Space level and it automatically applies to every Project inside it.
• Super admin bypass: designated organization super admins retain full access for administration and recovery, without needing individual grants.
• Full auditability: every permission and membership change (role creation, permission edits, invites, role reassignments) is captured in Casewire's structured audit log, complete with before / after values, so access changes are always traceable back to an actor and a moment in time.

CaseWire can run entirely on your own hardware, so your media never leaves your control.

Some material simply cannot be handed to an outside company. For those cases, CaseWire can be installed on your own hardware.

• Every file, version, and annotation is written to your own storage. There is no copy held anywhere else, and no third party can access it.

Annotations can also link straight to other files. This is the same linking mechanism that powers Casewire's mindmap and Path features, so annotations you make while reviewing media automatically become part of the projects connective structure.

Select and cut regions of a gaussian splat scene to isolate or remove parts of a 3D capture.

Use a 3D box select or a screen-space rectangle select to target exactly the region you want, then cut it out to strip unwanted geometry from a capture.

Edits are non-destructive at the file level: saving writes a new version, so the original capture is always preserved and recoverable.

Brightness, contrast, saturation, and temperature adjustments render live and non-destructively. As with splat edits, saving creates a new file version rather than overwriting the original.

Every page includes a render of the file, complete with current color grading. Underneath, every annotation on that file is listed out, so the full context travels with the report.
